The Department of Paediatrics & Neonatology at Dr. P. K. Saha Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is dedicated to provide complete diagnostics facilities and treatment of the infants and children.
The hospital has excellent NICU (NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) team with experienced nursing staffs and it’s the most equipped NICU set up in COOCHBEHAR. The hospital has 16 beded NICU and that can be extended up to 20 beds. NICU is equipped with 5 CPAP machines along with 2 neonatal ventilators and we are going to expand our NICU facility to 25 beds NICU with 10 CPAP and HFNC facility.
The department regularly perform exchange blood transfusion, a critical and lifesaving procedure.
The department also provides advanced ventilator facilities for high frequency ventilation, total parental nutrition facility and cranial ultrasound.

He has done MBBS from R.G Kar Medical college in the year 2011.Worked as house staff for 1 year in the department of neurosurgery.
Completed his postgraduate (MD PEDIATRICS) from Burdwan Medical College.He has 5 publications in Indian and International Journals. His field of interest is in PEDIATRIC critical care, PEDIATRIC nutrition and PEDIATRIC nephrology.

Cases
Case 1 – A case of HYALINE MEMBRAIN DIEASE due to secondary surfactant deficiency treated successfully at our NICU. 7 yrs old boy admitted with very poor GC(in septic shock stage) with few episodes of convlusions and inability to open both the eyelids and not able to move the eyes.
Case 2 – MRI orbit shoes signs of canvernous sinus thrombosis. Patient was treated with isotrope along with meropenam and vancomycin for 10 days along with other supportive measures. With treatment patient improved but lateral rectus palsy was present till 14th day, which gradually improved with rehabilitative measures over 3wks.
