Dr. P.K. Saha Hospital is the most advanced cardiac Centre in Cooch Behar with provisions for round-the-clock emergency- lifesaving procedures including coronary angioplasty and cardiac pacemaker implantation.
The interventional cardiology department of Dr. P.K. Saha Hospital is the first and only cardiac facility of Cooch Behar to have Cath lab facilities. Since its inauguration in February 2021- more than 1000 cases of angiography and angioplasty have been performed successfully in the department.
Complex valvular heart disease related microsurgeries like Percutaneous Trans Mitral Commissurotomies are regularly performed in the department.
Daily adult and pediatric echocardiographic services are provided by Dr Sankalan Saha in our OPD from 10am to 2pm and 4 pm to 7 pm (Monday to Saturday)and 10am to 2pm (Sunday)

This department is headed by Co-Director of the institution.
He has personally guided the Cardiac Cathlab project at the hospital. With the installation of the Cardiac Cathlab the patients of the region need not go to distant places for coronary angiography (CAG), angioplasty (PTCA), and valve surgeries (BMV, PTMC etc.). Dr. Sankalan Saha , an alumnus of IIM Bangalore also looks after the various clinical and administrative activities at his institute to promote value based best practices in healthcare.
