Department – The Department of Laboratory Medicine, Dr. P.K. Saha Hospital Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 2014 with the focus and commitment to provide reliable and accurate diagnostic services to our customers. It is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with latest equipment and technology available in the diagnostic industry. The facility represents a new paradigm for clinical laboratory services where the clinician works in close collaboration with the Laboratory physician to ensure that the laboratory offers the most advanced facilities with 100 percent reliable performance and unquestionable precision. We adhere to strict internal as well as external quality control measures to ensure that our reports are of highest quality. The lab is constantly upgrading its repertoire to accommodate the needs of the region’s dynamic health care landscape. We have an ICMR approved and NABL accredited molecular testing unit for COVID-19 PCR testing. We also have facilities for home collection of samples to ensure a convenient and comfortable experience to our customers.
Dr. Monjuri Borkotokey
MBBS, MD (Biochemistry)
Dr. Monjuri Borkotokey did her MBBS from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam and MD (Biochemistry) from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, Guwahati. She was the second Rank holder in the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) in MD (Biochemistry) exams. She served as a senior Resident for 3 years in the Dept. of Neurochemistry in the prestigious Institute of NIMHANS, an Institute of National Importance, where she was the over all in charge and quality coordinator of the NABL accredited Clinical Biochemistry unit (CBU). She is trained in laboratory quality management system and internal audit as per ISO 15189: 2012 and is a Certified Professional for Hospital Infection Control (Basic). She has extensive exposure and work experience in reputable Government Institutes as well as private setups. Prior to joining Dr. PK Saha Hospital Pvt. Ltd., she was working as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur, Assam. Her areas of interest include total quality management of Clinical Laboratory, imparting technical as well as academic training to medical and paramedical students, and research in the field of laboratory diagnostics. She has presented her work on multiple national as well as international platforms and won prizes many times. She is a life member of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBI) and the Association of Clinical Chemistry and Lab Medicine Practitioners (ACCLMP) and an executive committee member of the Assam chapter of ACCLMP.
