The department is headed by eminent clinician Dr. Subhas Chandra Saha. After acquiring MRCP, FRCP degrees from UK and extensive training thereafter in UK, Dr. Saha has dedicated his life to the people of Cooch Behar and adjoining districts of West Bengal and Assam and has been one of the noted clinicians of the region for last three decades with immense popularity among patients . He has been one of the pioneers of cardiac pacing in the region. With sharp clinical skills and astute clinical judgement, Dr Saha is not only a clinician par excellence, he is a living legend who has an exceptional combination of skill, knowledge, experience, ethics and humility.
Dr. Shyamal Kumar Saha

Dr. Shyamal Kumar Saha has more than 25years of clinical experience in Medicine. He has seven years of experience in Clinical Cardiology after obtaining the PG. Diploma in Clinical cardiology (PGDCC). He has subsequently successfully completed a certificate course in Rheumatology from S.G.S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
He has worked for many renowned hospitals located in Kolkata including Apollo Gleneagles Hospital as a Staff specialist in Clinical cardiology and consultant. He has expertise in all non- invasive Cardiology diagnostic investigations. He has published several research papers in peer reviewed international journal. He is a Post- Doctoral Fellow of Japan Society for the promotion of science (JSPS) since 2000.
